Yesterday I went with S to the "Fremont St. Summer Solstice Parade and Pageant" in both the Fremont neighborhood then walked to the "Sustainable" part of the festival a mile away at the Gas Works Park. The park is really a strange park with a huge rusting gas compressor as the centerpiece situated on the lawn. The festival was fun, crowded though not really what I would call an example of "sustainable". There we saw Bellydancing. That was especially fun. We left by public transit and, as passing through downtown, stopped and had vegetarian Pho then upon arriving home saw a DVD of "Volver". A fun movie about superstition, death, and a chance to practice listening to Spanish.

On the day before, Friday, I walked again along Rainier Ave. S visiting a Tully's for its free wireless, a dentist, Tully's again and posted this LJ entry, creating the Wikipedia article of Rubus armeniacus, saw dryadgrl's business website, got groceries, received a Challah from a local bakery on Rainier Ave. S., then in the evening had shabbat dinner with S then saw a DVD of "My Super Ex-Girlfriend". Silly movie.
