Today was the last day of the didactic portion of the hospital orientation. Four more Monday's of Emergency Department specific stuff, a month of preceptoring (being followed around by a more experienced nurse) who is supposed to show how to do something the proper way rather than criticize inequities (in a perfect world). D acutely states that "having a pulse" is the only prerequisite necessary to work in a "urban Emergency Department that is not a base hospital."

I am going out for tea or coffee now. I am happy.

Oh, by the way E gave me his Palm III as he will be recieved his new one: a Casio E-125 Cassiopeia.

ER nursing...
Hi, I just read some of your journal and was happy to read that you are becoming an ER nurse. I just got my medic licence and hope one day to become an RN and perhaps even an ER nurse. I loved my time at the UCDMC ER and I like the idea of expanding my scope and skills. Would you care to converse about what it's like being a nurse and what it's like becoming an ER nurse? If so you can mail me at whoizrob@yahoo.com Thanks =)

Re: Tea and the Walk..
I enjoyed having tea with you. The walk through campus was also very good. Thank you...

I am hoping to see you again soon, perhaps very soon.
