Even though I never met Danielle, I had read about her and her rough road travelled during these last few months from a link you had posted in a previous journal entry. I read about her daily struggles and her perserverence. I saw an enviable display of love from both friends and family. I felt as if I almost knew her from the various entries made on her website from those who were close to her.

When I read this journal entry, I felt sadness. I also felt relief that her struggle was over and now she is out of pain and in a better place where she can bring joy to the angels above as she did to the angels here on earth. And maybe they'll have milkshakes up in heaven, too ;)

As odd as all of this may sound, my thoughts are with her family and friends right now even though I have never met any of them. As much sadness and greif that there is for those who knew her, I am sure there is happiness, too.

As much as I would love to report back to you as to how the Evanston reception went, I am afraid that it may be inappropriate of me to attend. The impression I gathered was that itw as a memorial for friends and family, neither of which I fall into. Even though I may not be there in body, I will be there in spirit.

Then again, I may reconsider. Regardless, my thoughts are there nonetheless.

yes.
I've ben checking her updates every day since you posted the link. I'm sad, but strangely relieved as well. Wherever she is now must be better than the prison her body had become for her. I hope everyone is at peace, especially Mila, for whom these last months must have been exhausting and emotionally wrenching.

I didn't know her, but I will probably never forget her.
