Instead I used some of the (paid!) time (given to me by said employer[!]) now away from work to visit my son's public school second grade classroom.
Contained chaos best described it.
My son is by nature very excitable (read: autistic). He has started a trial of Clonidine to hopefully be less impulsive, less distractible. Today his whole class could have used the medication, aerosolized, and sprayed from a miniaturized remote controlled crop duster flying through the room.
At first, I could not describe what was out of place in his classroom, compared to my son. He seemed like all the other kids, except calmer. Then it hit me that he was calmer. He was not the one disrupting the class.
I am currently listening to "this is alice music, vol. 4, a collection of songs for the fight against breast cancer"
