Regarding both of yesterday's entries...

I started this year on 'paid' vacation essentially. I was at a rave almost every weekend volunteering with DanceSafe. This could be why any potentially empty weekend (not that any have actually remained empty) now really feels like it is empty.

I have now possibly identified an origin of my conundrum, the task is now to slow down without catastrophizing my progress into crisis.

The g-ddess Julia said to me "You help people"

Upon leaving work yesterday morning I encountered a tide of San Francisco 'Bay to Breakers' runners.

The kids and I were transfixed by a demonstration of Naginata japanese martial arts yesterday afternoon when we went to the Satsuki Arts Festival & Bazaar held at the local Buddhist temple.

In honor of his recent visit to the Bay Area:

Please remember dear reader that my LJ, my thoughts, and myself are not necessarily the same. Many of my postings are hidden or are for "friends only". Only about half of what I tinytype into my PDA ever survives my editing to get posted here.

I am looking very much forward to this weekend. My friend and my potentially new community may well bring some of my long held goals to bountiful fruition with perhaps even more enriched and enlivened successful outcomes.

For example I am probably going to BurningMan 2001. At the beginning of this year I thought it to be impossible for numerous reasons. I am grateful for the encouragement I have found here and at the burning-man LJ. Last year I would not have even dreamed of the successes that I have already now achieved. Perhaps in this life I will have 'fun', 'dance', 'experience passions', 'have happiness', 'be loved' and 'in love', 'create my dreams', and maybe even 'to party'.

The kids and I also went to see Shrek with one of R' friends. It was great.

I thought it to be great. I loved the humor even though it was beyond most of the children. I recall the comment about "...nobody likes a kiss ass.", toward the end of the movie, from the eddie murphy character recieving the most laughs. I also loved the princess fighting off robin's hoods scene.

What were your favorite scenes ?

Well the humor is for the adults, to keep them humored while the kids have fun with the big pictures.

You are right. She was much more beautiful as an ogress.
